This is the abstract super-class of OGSA-DAI
java.sql.ResultSet classes.
Concrete sub-classes of this class are responsible for storing and returning the data so it is available for the column type strategies.
The class also implements the CSVHandler
interface - concrete sub-classes must implement the methods of this
interface, so allowing the construction the ResultSet
to be filled with data from a CSV document.
When ResultSet is constructed from a CSV document there is no information available about column types. Therefore all columns are treated as strings and ResultSet getters try to make appropiate conversions to types requested by the user. All getters return or convert data in the form it was transmitted. The only exception being getBlob() methods which perform Base64 decoding.
